Born in Tappahannock, Virginia, as Christopher Brown on May 5, 1989, he has been drawn to music since his childhood and has been heavily influenced by the sounds of Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Anita Baker.
It wasn’t until the age of 11, however, that he actually had a wonderful voice, thanks to his mother, who quickly noticed the talent of her son after she heard him singing around their house.

He filed a defamation case against his accuser after being released from prison with no charges. Later in June, after being reported to be expecting a baby with girlfriend Ammika Harris, Brown was back in the headlines.
