Man U defender Harry Maguire finally marries his fiancée Fern Hawkins

Harry Maguire, a Manchester United defender, married his fiancée Fern Hawkins in a private ceremony in Cheshire

The Mirror reports that the England defender left Manchester United’s Carrington training ground on Thursday, May 12, and went straight to a registry office where Fern was waiting for him.

Even the guests were kept in the dark about the wedding’s details, as attendees were reportedly told the venue, Crewe Registry Office, in a text earlier that day.

Harry and Fern, both 29, first met as teenagers and have been together for ten years.

The couple, who have been engaged since 2018, kept the ceremony’s details hidden from everyone except their closest family and friends.

According to the publication, they plan to renew their vows this summer in a romantic ceremony in France.

Harry’s parents, Zoe and Alan, were said to have traveled from their home near Sheffield to attend the ceremony.

According to a source, ‘it was a closely guarded secret to all but their closest family and friends.’

‘They wanted to get married in the UK before going to France.’ Fern’s wedding day will be a fairytale wedding day.’

Daisy, Harry’s sister, will reportedly be a bridesmaid at the more lavish ceremony, which will take place at a chateau in Burgundy.

Joe, 30, and Laurence, 25, will also be there, as will his teammate Jordan Pickford, whose wife Megan Davison will reportedly be a bridesmaid.

Fern and Harry have been dating since they were teenagers, when they met in Sheffield.

Lillie Saint, three, and Piper Rose, two, are the couple’s two daughters.

Fern proposed in February 2018, after Harry whisked her away to Paris.

‘On Saturday night, Harry made me the happiest girl in the world & asked me to marry him in the most perfect way #ISAIDYES #TheFutureMrsMaguire #17thFebruary2018,’ she wrote at the time.
